Community 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

  • Community Call #32 is today on Twitter Spaces. Johns will update us on the next #ShockTheWeb hackathon and dig into Lightning applications UX.

  • Catch up on the call with the Galoy and Bitcoin Jungle teams about a merchant marketplace design (recording).

  • We applied to present about the community at COSCUP, a Taiwanese open-source conference. Come and help put the presentation together.

  • The next #ShockTheWeb hackathon will be from June 16-19. Calling designers to join in and experiment with new concepts and help shape this ecosystem.

  • Watch the latest Zeus community call with a discussion on BOLT12 offers.

  • More Learning bitcoin & design calls are scheduled. What topics are you curious to learn more about?

Bitcoin design guide 🗺️

  • In Design Guide Jam Session #25 (recording) we mostly discussed milestone #16 about the refinement of the Daily spending wallet reference design.

  • We now have support for Lottie animations across the whole site. See examples here.

  • New content was added about formatting and validating addresses, highlighting high fees, and channel reserves. The Contacts, Activity, and the Lightning services pages were also refreshed.

  • Review the design for the new “Daily spending wallet” reference design landing page.

  • Accessibility is an often ignored topic that we need to pay attention to. Help review the new page about accessibility (preview, issue).

  • Want to help out with a new merchant section for the guide? Join #merchants.

  • A basic printable template for bitcoin wallet backups is in the works. Check it out and share your thoughts.

Seeking feedback 🗣️👂

  • Daniel has been working on an iOS bitcoin wallet template that implemented LDK & BDK, to help simplify projects getting started. More in #bdgwallet and on Github.

  • What could a UI for approving multiple transactions in a multisig wallet look like? Discuss on Twitter.

Everything else

  • Watch Lisa Neigut (a.k.a. niftynei) explain channel splicing in this recording of a workshop organized by DraperX.

  • Check out the design category of Bitcoiner Jobs for various #opportunities.

  • Bitcoiner events have a long list of upcoming meetups, socratic seminars, virtual chats, and more.
