Bitcoin design guide 🗺️
Sprint #7 is focused on updating the Getting Started section of the guide with Lightning-related content. This is a good time to give feedback on the content, each task has a dedicated Google Doc for adding your comments.
The Units & Symbols page is live. Formatting Bitcoin amounts sounds simple, but there are many details around localization and typography to consider. There’s also a discussion on Slack about how we can help open source projects apply these recommendations, and others from the guide.

The Lightning Browser Extension team narrowed in on a new name for their project - Alby. How do you like it? They are also looking for design contributors and testers. Reach out in slack to be part of the Alpha.

The Bitcoin Smiles donation campaign we wrote about it in the last edition achieved its goal, and more, by collecting 1.3 bitcoin for dentistry treatments in El Salvador. 30% higher than the original goal.
The Bitcoin Icons project now has Vue and React modules for easily implementing the icons in web apps. The icons themselves also received a slight facelift.
Bitcoin is now official currency in El Salvador, and the government launched their Chivo wallet. There is UX discussion about it here.
