The Bitcoin Design Community has been around for 5 years and we are putting together a report to celebrate milestones and everyone’s contributions. As usual, it’s done in public, and you’re welcome to chime in.

We’ve got a new AI channel in the Bitcoin Design Community, feel free to chat about all things AI there.
The Bitcoin Design Foundation is looking to clarify the grant application process. Give feedback on these work-in-progress documents.
Bitcoin design guide 🗺️
The contacts page now more explicitly mentions silent payment addresses.
Content guidelines now include a paragraph about inclusion of new protocols with little adoption.
How can the guide be used directly or indirectly via AI? Help experiment and find out.
An explainer for how recovery phrases are constructed has been added to the glossary.

The Bitcoin Design Community is in the process of creating an education program for UX designers, chime in on the discussion here.
Christoph is going to move forward with iterations to the Open Design Guide.

Baltic Honey Badger is coming up on August 9th and 10th, in Riga.
Bitcoin Amsterdam is happening again from November 13th to 14th.
Tab Conf, a more technical conference, is taking place in October in Atlanta, Georgia.

Erik wrote an update on his recent contributions. Right now he is working on designing a Cashu wallet for Bitchat, improving multi-nut payments on cashu.me, working with Sushant on Sovran design improvements, working with Veronika on a redesign of Cashu Brr, and later will be taking a turn at vibe coding some improvements to the Fedimint Web Wallet.
Mat updated his one-pager about BIP-177, the proposal to redenominate bitcoin.
Nandini wrote about her experience contributing to Saving Satoshi via Summer of Bitcoin.
